The Kawdzilla Civic

The kawdzilla name was inspired by a combination of the setup, JDM inspiration and a play on words.

I once drove a Nissan Pulsar GTiR on a test drive when I was living in Seattle sometime around 2015. It's a small, AWD, JDM turbo hatchback nicknamed "Baby Godzilla".

I wanted to create that same vibe in a Honda, which is what inspired the kawdzilla build. It took a few iterations to get there, but as the AWD Honda swap market started to kick off, I started slowly acquiring the necessary parts to make the build happen.

In the meantime, I took it to the track every chance I got -- and still do. I learned how to build by learning how to drive.

Ten years after buying the EG Civic, it's finally becoming what started as just an inspiration. K20 swapped, AWD converted, little Godzilla -- kawdzilla.

But now, the bigger picture has come into play -- keeping the spirit of a driver's car and chasing the true joy of motorsport. That's what the channel is about.

So whether you've been on the track with me at a HPDE, or at a meet in Seattle or the Twin Cities or now Phoenix metro, or you're just watching from anywhere else in the world, thank you.

Keep chasing the good vibes and I'll see you out there.
